UW RFM Alt. Representative | Robin Berger, M.D.

 

Robin Berger is a PGY-3 psychiatry resident at the University of Washington. Originally from Scotland, he gained a BSc in psychology at the University of Edinburgh before studying medicine at the University of Nottingham. He completed training in psychiatry and then child and adolescent psychiatry within the National Health Service in Edinburgh before moving with his family to Seattle, his wife’s hometown, in 2018.
Robin is committed to widening access to quality mental healthcare which includes advocating for improved public policy and health systems. His perspective on local challenges includes ongoing involvement with NAMI Washington and prior experience of advocating for legislative changes as a trainee representative within the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland. He intends to complete a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry and continue working locally to improve mental healthcare for young people. Robin loves spending time outdoors with his children and alpine climbing.
