 Medical Director Residential Tx Center for Addiction & Dual-Dx

We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Director to join our TEAM! The Recovery Village Ridgefield is a residential treatment center for Addictions, Substance Abuse, and co-occurring disorders. The Medical Director will report to the Chief Medical Officer of our entire organization. This facility is near Vancouver, WA, just north of Portland, Oregon. In addition to the main campus, we also provide an acute detox unit at a separate facility. Our next Medical Director should be a Board Certified Psychiatrist, at minimum. Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is highly preferred. Experience in treating those with Addictions and co-occurring disorders may substitute for Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship. The Medical Director is the senior-most member of the medical team, and provides supervision to other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. The Medical Director will also identify, communicate, and ensure that all medical treatment is compliant with government regulations and accreditation standards. The Medical Director will lead by example in providing compassionate care to the patients, and interact with staff members of all departments with the highest level of professionalism. The Medical Director will also provide mentoring and coaching to medical staff. The Medical Director is the primary decision maker in selecting new medical staff members, and provides the initial training of new hires. The Physician we seek for this role should have experience in directing the work of other medical professionals. ARNP or Psychiatrist

This position will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment of mental health consumers. This position is also responsible for providing consultation and training regarding psychiatric illness to other clinicians. 

Job Title: ARNP or Psychiatrist Program: 25200 - Snohomish County Outpatient Services 
Location: Lynnwood
Hours: Full Time (20-40 hours/week)
Wage: DOE

The program sites are located in Lynnwood and Everett which is a reasonable commute from Seattle, and are Outpatient positions. You would be joining an existing team of ARNP’s ,RN’s , Therapists and Case Managers. Both units serve adults both voluntary and involuntary.

• Population is adults, the clientele are mostly chronically mentally ill adults with the usual range of diagnoses and a full range of functionality levels though an ACT based program (most intensive) is not included in the mix.
• We aim for total caseloads of 55 to 65 per 8 hour day though this site is running higher right now due to the open positions.
• New evaluations are scheduled for 60 minutes face to face though if you typically use more face to face time that can be arranged. You generally have 1 new client a day though when clinic is very busy you will have 2.
• Follow up medication management appointments are 30 minutes
• There is no EHR though one will be forthcoming in the next 2 years

REQUIREMENTS
• National Certification and ARNP License in the State of Washington OR M.D. or D.O. Degree with Certification from an accredited psychiatric residency program.
• Board eligibility required. Board certification preferred (Psychiatrists only).
• 2 years’ experience in community mental health preferred.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.
• Ability to complete a comprehensive bio-psycho-social evaluation, diagnosis and treatment plan on mental health consumers.
• Thorough familiarity with indications and management of psychotropic medications.
• Knowledge of insight-oriented, behavioral, cognitive and supportive, individual, family, and group forms of treatment.
